Making the 2014 olympics as a skiier?
I am 22 years old, I have been inspired by the 2010 winter olympics, I would like to make the canadian national ski team and compete in the 2014 olympics. I have been skiing since I was little and I am pretty good, love to go fast, burn down the hills no problem, I think I have a little skill but ive never ever competed before and would need a coach to get started. anybody think I have a chance? where do I start? who would I get in contact with? any pro skiiers out there tell me about youre experience? I can do downhill, alpine whatever
It's gonna take a TON of practise, money so as to train and excelling in competitions against top notch skiers etc. Are you (or planning on becoming) a Canadian citizen - otherwise I don't see how (or why) the maple leaf will adopt you.
Furthermore you might wanna post in "Winter Sports" and from there you can specify "Snow Skiing" (to differenciate from the Snowboarding category)
