The Top Ski Resorts in Utah for Beginners

If you're brand-new to winter sports, there are numbers ski resorts in Utah that provide the opportunity to learn to ski and snowboard!

The home of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, the Salt Lake area boasts many resorts for skiers. The area gets an abundance of unique snow and plenty of sunny days. That's the perfect combination for anyone who wants to ski or snowboard.

Snowbird is a large resort, with excellent classes available for beginners and families. It includes shops and high-end lodging. Although it's rather more expensive than other resorts, the amenities and all-inclusive feel makes it well worth the price.

If you have young children, you might want to consider Brian Head Resort. It's unique among ski resorts in Utah, because it sets aside an entire mountain just for children and beginners. This is Navajo Mountain, and it's located right next to the resort's learning center. It offers a feeling of safety for those unsteady on their skis and parents concerned for their children's well-being among more experienced athletes.

Of the resorts in Utah, Park City Mountain Resort is one of the more famous ones. It covers a broad range of experience, offering help and instruction for skiers of all skill levels. Park City Mountain Resort's many levels of children's programs shows a real desire to provide a safe, fun family environment.

If you're a beginner on a budget, try Wolf Mountain. This resort is located on the edge of the town of Eden, and it offers a very inexpensive skiing experience. The resort is known for an excellent teaching terrain, and it offers some good family packages.

Bald Eagle Mountain at Deer Valley Resort boasts an area called Wide West, dedicated exclusively to beginning skiers. People of all ages can take classes at the ski school.
